Freethought provides a range of managed server services, customers with virtual, dedicated, or cloud servers can opt to have Freethought manage every aspect of the server on their behalf. We also manage servers outside of our network that we don't ourselves supply.
Within the scope of General Data Protection Regulations, we consider ourselves data processors for the personal information stored on any server that we manage on behalf of our customers. We make this assessment due to the fact that we have administrative/root access to that server so have the ability to view the personal information stored on that server, in addition, we also have the ability to influence and control the storage, security, and erasure of that personal information.
You should ensure that if you have a managed server with us or any other service where we are contracted to manage a server on your behalf, that you inform those you collect personal information about Freethought being a third party data processor.
